Exhibition Stand

In the Making is a multidisciplinary and interconnected space presented by LINEAPELLE in collaboration with Giorgio Linea, guided by the creative direction of Marika Tardio.

It is designed to narrate the practical and tangible know how of the leather industry, which derives from intellectual and manual knowledge: innovation at the service of tradition and at the needs of the contemporary world.

Here the leather speaks to the world of fashion, art, design, architecture and nautical sector.

A transversal vision of the leather material, through a multifaceted environment, in which roles are contaminated to give life to new synergies.

Meet the designer marika tardio: sea-nthesia cabinet & wazup puof

The designer Marika Tardio, the owner of the artistic carpentry “Stile Legno” Lorenzo Susini and the surface designer Alice Corbetta, introduce the Sea-Nethesia Cabinet and the Wazup Pouf. Leather and wood combination techniques for unique design objects.

Meet the artist antonio barbieri: automata

The artist Antonio Barbieri, in collaboration with Tomaso Cecchi (CEO Promel) and Christian Evangelista (CEO BCE Engineering), presents the artwork Automata, which consists of 3D printed robotic flowers, covered with leather.

The design firm Studio Lievito introduces the work Ciringomma, a pier glass combining together the glass workmanship, leather and textile.

Meet the designers iammi studio: friendly monster cabinet

The design firm IAMMI STUDIO introduces “The Friendly Monster Cabinet”. A piece of collectible design realized through EPS polyurethane modeling, then hand-sculpted and covered with pink leather.

Innovation lab. by destec: scanning applied to the fashion universe

The Destec team is “live performing” and explaining the scanning techniques finalized to give birth to new fashion icons.

The historic Florentine shoemaker Leonardo Tozzi will teach the participants how to create a pair of personalized slippers.

Zerolab: art as a tool for sustainable luxury

First hub for the creative recovery of waste. Together with Galleria Fonderia Firenze. They will hold a live performance named CHIMERA: union between leather and plastic. They will guide the public through the creative process of making extruded polystyrene slabs and boxes, using spray paint and leather: they will combine two different materials, plastic and leather, to create unique artistic works.

Meet the start up zerolab: creative recovery hub & b2b platform launch

A talk about recycling and introduction to the startup business model, launching its B2B platform. The aim is to reduce waste in the fashion industry through a B2B marketplace, where users can make exchanges.

From a semi-finished belt to bespoke. With the possibility of choosing the buckle and finishing. A painter specialized in leather decoration will be available for any personalization.

Designer e artisti diventano gli attori di una storia che cogniuga, attraverso la Pelle, diverse visioni del fare.

Tutto ciò non sarebbe stato possibile senza l’intuito e la lungimiranza dell’azienda Giogio Linea, che da forma alle opere nella mostra “Travolti da un insolito destino”.

Un caleidoscopio di tradizione e innovazione, dove la Pelle diventa un linguaggio multiforme che mescola materiali e superfici, tecnologia e memoria, scrivendo una nuova pagina del Made in ltaly.
